Deck the halls with boughs of holly, but forget the snow because Alexis & Kyle’s December wedding in Playa del Carmen was all sunshine and turquoise waters! These lovebirds traded in a winter wonderland for a Riviera Maya paradise, and let me tell you, it was a tropical dream come true. Our day kicked off at the uber-chic Hotel The Fives Downtown, where we captured all the pre-wedding jitters (and maybe a few cheeky sips of bubbly) as they got ready to say “I do.”

Speaking of “I do,” their ceremony took place on a rooftop with a twist – imagine exchanging vows next to a sparkling pool, all with the vibrant energy of Playa del Carmen as your backdrop. Think city lights twinkling in the distance and the Caribbean Sea shimmering on the horizon – basically, the best of both worlds! I snagged some seriously tear-jerking moments as they said their vows, with the entire Mayan Riviera watching over them.

But the fiesta didn’t stop there! The celebration continued on the same rooftop, transforming it into a reception paradise. Picture delicious food served under the stars, heartfelt toasts that had everyone clinking glasses. It was the kind of night where everyone let loose, made memories for the ages, and probably ended up with a margarita or two in hand (because hey, it’s December in the tropics!).
